Learning Support Assistants

Mr Matt Williams

I am originally from Llantrisant  before recently moving to a small village of Llantwit Major. I love spending time in the outdoors kayaking, running, playing squash or on my road bike.

I have worked with children as a squash coach and youth worker over many year. Although I’m relatively new to the role as a  teaching assistant, I am very passionate about helping children to learn to have fun in our lovely school and see them develop and reach their full potential.

I grew up in the beautiful seaside town of Tenby, Pembrokeshire and for the first four and a half years of my teaching career, I jetted off to teach internationally! I taught in the Middle East and treasure the memories I made there with children from all over the world. Following this, I moved back home to Wales and worked in various schools supply teaching.  I am now living in St Athan and working as a Teaching Assistant while my daughter is small. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at St David’s CIW Primary School so far; It brings me great joy to see the children learn and progress in all areas of school life and I very much grow with them too. It is just the start of my journey here at St David’s and I am excited to see what’s in store at this wonderful school.

Mrs Stacey Williams

In September 2014 I returned to education and began a work placement here at St David’s. I was welcomed with open arms and received great advice and support throughout the duration of my course- I didn’t want to leave! A year later I was fortunate enough to officially become part of this fantastic team. I started as a 1:1 in year 1 and have moved up with the class each year. I thoroughly enjoy my role here, and it has been a pleasure to be able to follow the children’s progress and achievements along the way.
My time outside of school is spent enjoying life and making memories with my partner and our four fabulous children.

 Mrs Louise Adams

I started my journey here at St David's as a childcare student on placement in 2009. I had been to several schools during my placement time, but this was my favourite. The staff, children and ethos makes it such a lovely place to work. I was lucky enough to be asked to cover a teaching assistants maternity in 2011 and I have worked here ever since. I've worked with many children and their wonderful families over the years and have a special place in my heart for St David's.

Being a teaching assistant is a very rewarding job and I love working in a field where I feel I am having a positive impact on those around me. AS well as being a teaching assistant, I am also a mum of a 3 year old little boy, who will soon be joining our fantastic school. I am very much looking forward to the year ahead.
