TOPIC

Our topic for this half term is What's inside my body? We will be finding out how we can keep our bodies healthy, both mentally and physically. There will be a  key focus on human organ systems, 5 senses, energy for humans and the importance of exercise.

Please see below the medium term planning for our new topic. We are looking forward to generating ideas together for our new topic through Pupil Voice.

All of our planning will be focussed on developing the Four Core Purposes.

The four purposes are that all children and young people will be:

Ambitious, capable learners who are ready to learn throughout their lives.

Enterprising, creative contributors who are ready to play a full part in life and work.

Ethical, informed citizens who are ready to be citizens of Wales and the world.

Healthy, confident individuals who are ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society.

Homework

Homework will be placed on Google Classroom every Friday. Please submit all homework by the following Wednesday so we are able to look at your wonderful work.

A homework grid has been attached below containing fun and independent tasks you can complete at home linked to our topic. Please feel free to share any of your work with us.

PE

Please wear your PE kit to school on Friday's. Children should wear black shorts, a house colour or white t-shirt and trainers, labelled clearly with their name. They may also wear black jogging bottoms when completing activities outdoors.

Uniform

Please ensure that all items of clothing are clearly labelled with your child's name.

Our Christian Values

This term in school we will be focusing on the value Trust. We will be hearing stories from the Bible and discussing examples from our daily lives. We hope that you will explore this value together at home too.

Totally believe that someone has your back,

Reliable to give you a Hope that you may lack.

Unquenchable responsibility to all that you hold dear,

Staying with you when all else doesn't remain near.

Turn to His ways not to lean on our understanding.

Trust is a feeling that somebody or something can be relied upon or will turn out to be good. It is the feeling of being sure about something, even if it cannot be proved.
