Meet our Criw Cymraeg 2026-27!

This year we will be working at strengthening our Cymraeg Campus 'Gold' award that we gained in Summer 2026.

Cymraeg Campus – Cymraeg Campus is a Language Charter that is used to promote the use of the Welsh language throughout the school, across the Curriculum and in all area of school life. In school we have established a ‘Criw Cymraeg’ who are a pupil voice set up to encourage and promote the Welsh language.

The 10 targets to achieve Gold are:

• Extensive use of Welsh in the displays around the school.
•  Most learners have an understanding and respect of the Welsh culture.
•  Learners can speak Welsh confidently within their classroom.
•  Learners can speak Welsh confidently outside their classrooms.
• Criw Cymraeg lead assembly.
• Learners make extensive use of Welsh apps and websites.
•  Learners take place in Welsh guided group reading.
• Welsh is used extensively across other areas of learning
•  Learners have a positive attitude to Welsh.
