Attendance

Inclusive Attendance School

St David's CIW Primary School has been recognised as a Bronze Inclusive Attendance School, reflecting our commitment to a consistent, child-centred approach to improving attendance. We use the Inclusive Attendance model to guide our work, combining staff training, evidence-informed practice and collaboration with families and external agencies to support pupils effectively. Our approach includes a three-tiered system of support, ranging from whole-school strategies to targeted and specialist interventions where needed, in line with Welsh Government guidance. We also use a recognition-based approach to encourage positive attendance and build motivation. By prioritising attendance as part of our wider school improvement work, we aim to ensure all pupils feel supported, remain engaged in learning and are able to achieve their full potential.
