The school has been awarded stage 3 of the Healthy Schools’ programme. We encourage a healthy lifestyle and diet and run a fruit tuck system throughout the school for snacks at morning break.
As part of the school’s Personal and Social Education programme, Reception children are asked to have school dinners but from Year 1 upwards, children can choose whether to have a school lunch or to bring their own lunch from home. School lunches are cooked on the school premises and provide choices for the children. For those families experiencing difficulties, school lunches may be provided free of charge with the assurance of complete discretion and sensitivity on the part of the school.
For those children who pay for their lunch (£12.00 week), money should be sent to school on a Thursday morning in an envelope with the child’s name and class clearly labelled. The school encourages pupils to only bring healthy food to school for snacks and packed lunches.
